Meet the Tutor

Hello! My name is Vanessa Freed, and I'm the passionate educator behind Tutoring On-Demand. Ever since I was young, I've had a love for reading and learning, which naturally led me to a career in education. I'm a veteran teacher who specializes in reading and writing instruction.  I have been teaching for almost 25 years and have experience with most grade levels.  Most recently I served as a dyslexia therapist helping middle school students who struggle with foundational reading skills.  I have been providing private 1:1 tutoring sessions via Zoom to further support students' unique needs for many year and absolutely love this opportunity to tailor instruction to a student's needs.  I am certified to teach a variety of content areas including math, science, and language arts.  In addition to being highly trained in dyslexia support, I specialize in working with students who speak other languages.   What sets my tutoring apart is the personalized educational support I provide, tailored to meet the unique needs of each student. Whether it's reading, math, or science, I take pride in helping students build confidence and achieve their academic goals. My journey began with a simple belief: every student deserves the chance to succeed, and sometimes that just requires a little extra support. Now, with the flexibility of online sessions via Zoom or Google Meets, I can reach students no matter where they are. Let's take this educational journey together!
